Hello once more, and first off, I must apologize for the time taken to create this update blog, my end of week was a lot busier than expected, so while this was originally planned to release on Friday, here it is today. For those curious what this is, read the last blog post, but essentially I'll solely be talking about the reception and changes I'd like to make after reviewing the finished product of last video.
Immediately, very pleased with how this came out, especially compared to the last Persona video. This video felt more focused, had more expressiveness, and editing felt a lot cleaner thanks to me getting clips in advance. As for how others felt, I've only heard positives. Really proud of this work. Of course though, I didn't expect this video to reach as wide an audience as the last, and that is accurate. Currently the views sit at 26, compared to the Persona video's at an insane 159. Relevancy is strong in this field, and with not much Yakuza news to pair the video with, it obviously would suffer for it. But as noted last time, I don't really care. I will stand by my belief that I will makes videos that interest me, not focus on whatever the most popular title out is.Good to note though that this video did splendid with Impressions, I believe better than the Persona video after a 3-day period which is interesting to see, but I can imagine why. I tried out the feature of Youtube Tags, basically my own search fields, and I may have lied just a little tiny bit. You see, since YouTube search was my main pull of viewers, I tested out to see if putting the new LAD game in my search tags would yield anything, and surely enough they did.
Kind of strange to see Ishin pulling views to my video that isn't exactly related to it other than the fact that they're in the same series. To be fair it pulled the same percentage as Yakuza 0 and Yakuza modding, though without putting Ishin in my tags I'd likely be losing a lot more impressions. It feels dirty using these tactics of putting a relevant thing in the tags, as while they are related, this video has nothing to do with said game. I'm conflicted if I'll do this again, or even if it's morally right falsely advertising of sorts. What is good to see is my audience retention is still pretty damn strong despite doubling the length of my last video. As long as cuts are fast and I get straight to the point with a video under 5 minutes, it seems like my sweet spot. Not really sure why 2:02 is the top moment though? I get its the exact half of the video, and someone skipping through would likely go there, but all I'm talking about is the 4k font mod at that point which isn't the most visually interesting thing. Guess it's cool to see regardless, data is beautiful. What was also nice to see was a lot of people messaging me once more saying that they really enjoyed my video. I don't like to promote outside of my Twitter, so seeing friends who I never would've thought watch and comment is really sweet to see, I'm glad I'm making stuff that's enjoyable to at least some.
With that though, that's all for the video reception update, thanks for reading, and farewell.
