Video Reception Update #2, Final Blog Post

Gather round one and all for the absolute final blog post, which will focus on the last video's reception as well as thoughts on the project as a whole.

First off, this one surely unperformed, which I honestly don't care about. It wasn't about modding, so it was unfitting with the theme of the rest of my content, it was more just something I had to throw together quickly as a Thanksgiving special of sorts. I believe it's currently my worst preforming of the project only reaching 17 views at the time of writing, which I once again don't mind, but I do find it interesting. You'd expect such a recent and relevant game to attain more viewership, but the attention economy didn't suit it. Why waste your time watching my Pokémon video compared to someone like Saltydkdan, or Alpharad.
My niche was modding, and it seems straying from that, whilst also trying to compete against larger creators lead to this video not turning as many heads of a general audience. That being said, my friends loved this video, maybe the most of this whole content spew. It feels more in line with what I usually use my channel for, small dumb shitpost videos just to show off something fun. Since weekly uploads have ended thankfully, if I do ever upload again and have it be public, it'll probably be more content like this.

As for project thoughts as a whole, while I did enjoy the prospects of being a content creator, the deadlines set for myself were a little ridiculous. It just isn't feasible to be releasing weekly videos, despite them only ever peaking at 4 minutes for a typical one. There's a lot of footage going into these, as well as mod research, a script, actually testing and playing all of the modded content, I'm shocked the Y0 and P5R videos released on time.

As for rating these videos, my favorite to work on was the Yakuza 0, I was a lot more organized compared to the Royal one, I had like a shot sheet of exactly what I wanted, writing the script out after recording helped a ton, and overall felt very fulfilling to release despite a drop-off in reception. Least favorite to work on was the very first, Mario in Half Life video. I hate it with a passion now, looking back on myself trying to do a "Let's Play" irks me. I know it's heavily edited down but it just drags on. As soon as this project officially ends, I think I'm un-listing that one for personal sake. I do like making videos, but they'll be a lot more sparse, won't follow a theme, and likely will be unscripted garbage, just how I like it.

If I ever wanted to peruse this as an actual job or profession, I'd probably go hard on Persona Content, it really rakes in views, and a couple people in that comment section alone want some sort of video tutorial for switch mods, which is fair cause it was a living nightmare installing them. Overall, pretty happy with my work, glad to see some of friends did as well. Thanks to you dedicated few who've been reading all these posts (I know who you are, the stats are vital to my class). Farewell from me.
